St. Louis (KSDK) - A 25-year-old man is dead after shooting in South St. Louis City Wednesday morning.
The deadly incident happened around 12:45 a.m. near the intersection of Bates Street and Louisiana Avenue.
Police said the victim, identified as Prince Patton, died shortly after being rushed to the hospital.
Police are looking for two black males in a white SUV with undercarriage LED lights and tinted windows.
An investigator said they believe they know who the shooter is, but are not releasing any more information.
Witnesses told NewsChannel 5 they saw Patton talking with the suspect when the man pulled out a handgun and opened fire. One witness said she heard eight gunshots.
