ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - A woman has died after crashing her vehicle on Interstate 44.
The accident happened around 5 p.m. Thursday on westbound I-44 east of Holmes Avenue.
The Missouri State Highway crash report says 49-year-old Frances Winker was driving westbound when her 2000 Ford Expedition left the roadway to the left and hit the median, re-entered the highway, traveled to the right side of the roadway, struck a rock bluff, and overturned.
The report states Winker was not wearing a seatbelt.
She was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.
