NAMAO, Alberta (CTV/CNN) - A Canadian man received a special Christmas surprise 69 years in the making.
Last week Jack Speers got a letter his mom mailed to him when he was training as an aircraft mechanic during World War II. The letter was apparently bouncing around since 1943, and finally made its way to him.
"It musta gone to Ontario and where it went from there I haven't got a clue and nobody else seems to know either," said Speers. "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Signed mom."
Speers' mother died 20 years ago, so this letter is even more meaningful this Christmas.
