CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - A 19-year-old St. Louis woman was killed in a car accident Friday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Emily N. Ferguson was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 around 3 a.m.
Authorities say Ferguson struck a 2009 Hino Straight truck head-on approximately 725 feet west of the 151.4 mile marker.
The truck was driven by a 39-year-old St. Peters, Missouri man. He suffered serious injuries.
Ferguson was pronounced dead at the scene. The report says she was not wearing a seatbelt.
It is unknown why Ferguson was driving the wrong way on the highway.
