Man pistol whipped near the Gateway Arch

ST. LOUIS, MO(KSDK) - St. Louis City Police are looking for a suspect involved in an armed attack.

Officials say that at approximately 2:00 Sunday morning two men became involved into an argument in the 700 block of North 2nd.  The argument turned physical and the victim claims that the suspect struck him with a handgun and fired a shot while the victim was on the ground.

The suspect then left the scene in a white Dodge Charger that was occupied by a white male, a white female and another unknown suspect.  he suspect is described as a black male.
The victim, a 28-year-old white male, was not struck by the shot and refused medical treatment for injuries he sustained from being struck by the hand gun.

The investigation is ongoing and KSDK will bring you more information as it becomes available.
