New festival heads to downtown St. Louis

The first annual Downtown Winter Fest is going on Thursday in the heart of downtown St. Louis. More than 20 venues are getting in on the action by offering customers something special to celebrate the season.

"We are excited to be part of the first Winter Fest," said Jeff, Dubliner.

"We're participating in the Winter Fest which is a celebration of downtown St. Louis of all the different bars and restaurants and different companies to celebrate getting out of the house and doing something fun for the holiday," explained Patrick Stanley, Charles P. Stanley Cigar Lounge.

"We love this city. It's a good excuse to get people from the county to come down here and see what we have to offer and see all this revitalization that's been going on," said Kathleen McGowan, Blondies.

Free shuttles will be provided Thursday in downtown St. Louis and all participating businesses won't be charging cover during Downtown Winter Fest. For a list of venues involved head to The festival is going on from 3pm-3am Thursday.
