PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (CNN) - A Florida man discovered the worst way to try and win back your estranged wife.

According to police, Robert Ball invited his wife to his house to try and patch up their relationship.

Janet Ball arrived, and said she didn't love him anymore. Police say that's when Robert pulled out a knife, and forced her to watch television with him.

He reportedly then made her go with him to dinner at Golden Corral, then stop at Walmart, where he bought her some shoes.

Janet Ball's father grew suspicious when he hadn't heard from her, and showed up at Robert Ball's house.

He managed to get her out of the house, but then the estranged husband shot a rifle in the air.

Police charged Robert Ball with aggravated domestic assault and tampering with a witness.
