WASHINGTON COUNTY, MO (KSDK) - Charges have been filed against the man accused of killing a Washington County Missouri Sheriff's Deputy early Saturday morning.
Gary Sancegrow,30, is being held without bond in the Ste. Genevieve County Jail. He's charged with 1st Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action.
Sancegrow is accused of shooting deputy Christopher Parsons, 31, to death in Mineral Point. Parsons was responding to a 911 medical call at the time.
The shooting triggered a massive manhunt that ended around 5:00 p.m. when Sancegrow turned himself in at a checkpoint. Investigators have not released a motive in the attack.
