(CNN) - This is a week of final farewells in Newtown, Connecticut, as people gathered for the first funerals of the elementary school shooting victims.

Twenty children and six school personnel died after a gunman opened fire inside their school before killing himself.

It's a tragedy that not only rocked the community of Newtown and the country, but the world.
