FRANKFORD, Mo. (KSDK) - Residents of Pike County thought they may be in for a white Christmas.
In this part of Missouri, residents reported up to a couple inches of snow Monday morning.
It had pretty much disappeared though by noon.
The temperature quickly reached 38 degrees and melted the precipitation.
In the fields outside of Frankford, the white stuff was more visible. While the ground was no long covered by mid-afternoon, there was still evidence in the corners of windshields.
Many residents are hoping they'll get another chance at Christmas snow later this week.
