St. Louis (KSDK) - Thousands of costumers experienced power outages in counties across the bi-state region Thursday.
Ameren Missouri says high winds knocked out power to more than 49,000 customers. By 6 p.m. power had been restored to around 28,000 customers.
Ameren Illinois says power outages continue on that side of the river. Crews continue to work on restoring power.
At 6 p.m. Ameren Illinois reported there were still a few thousand outages.
High winds and downed trees are being blamed for widespread outages.
