ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The director of the Missouri History Museum has submitted a letter of resignation.
Dr. Robert Archibald has been under fire for what some are calling an unethical purchase.
Archibald is accused of having the museum buy land on Delmar Boulevard without an appraisal.
His critics say he could have gotten it cheaper, but Archibald says it was worth the money and it was purchased with private dollars.
The Board of Trustees is set to meet Friday to vote on Archibald's resignation.
