BUGARACH, France (CNN) - This may be your very last day on Earth, if doomsdayers are to be believed the world is coming to an end on Friday.
It's a prediction based on the Mayan calendar and it's causing anxiety across the globe.
In China, more than 600 members of a fringe Christian group have been detained for spreading rumors of an impending apocalypse.
Known as the Almighty God Cult, members have been going door-to-door, claiming only they can save people's lives.
The prophecy has been debunked by scientists as well as archeologists, who say the doomsday predictions are a misinterpretation of the Mayan calendar.
So how did the myth get started?
If you're taking the prediction seriously, or just want to be on the safe side, there's one place you should be.
The tiny village of Bugarach, in France is said to be the only safe place when Armageddon strikes.
