ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A St. Louis man has been charged with theft and resisting arrest after police say he stole delivered packages on front porches.
Christopher Browning, 23, is currently in police custody and held on $15,000 bond.
Police say Browning was caught on someone's security camera.
There are two other suspects, a man and a woman both in their early 20s.
Police say some of the thefts have taken place in the Shaw neighborhood, south St. Louis city and county.
Now, police have a lot of packages they are trying to return to their rightful owners.
"What we're asking to do it if you were expecting a package in south St. Louis city-county area, to call 444-0100 and we have a spreadsheet with the items we have. And hopefully you'll have a tracking slip or some kind of identification but we would like to get these back before Christmas," said Capt. Daniel Howard with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Police say charges against the other suspects in the investigation have been taken under review by prosecutors.
Authorities say consider having packages delivered elsewhere, or at least not left on the front porch in full view.
