South St. Louis retail store robbed at gunpoint

SOUTH ST. LOUIS, MO (KSDK) -- St. Louis Police are looking for a pair of suspects in an overnight armed robbery.

The two suspects walked into City Gear, a clothing store, located on the 3500 block of Bamberger just after 11 p.m. The pair walked into the store just as it was about to close.

One of the men was carrying a handgun and forced the employee to the back of the store where he demanded the store employee open the safe. Once the safe was open the suspects grabbed the cash and took off through the back door.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20's, who stands 5'8"-5'10" tall, and has a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, and white tennis shoes with green and blue factory splash marks.

The other suspect involved in this armed robbery is described as a black male in his early 20's who stands 5'7" tall, and has a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie, dark jeans, and black and green tennis shoes.
