ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KSDK) - "What goes up must come down." That is the warning from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department to city residents ahead of New Year's Eve.
The city's Fun Without Guns campaign is aimed at curbing a New Year's Eve tradition of shooting firearms into the air to celebrate the beginning of the year.
Firing weapons into the air is not illegal, but also dangerous, police said.
