Smart car flips in accident, driver arrested

WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. (KSDK) - Police in Webster Groves are trying to determine what caused a driver to overturn his smart car overnight and why the man fled on foot.

The accident occurred before 3:30 a.m. on Laclede Station Road near Murdoch Avenue.

When police arrived at the scene, they chased the driver down and arrested him a short time later.

The driver suffered an injury to his head in the accident, but there's no word on the severity of the injury.
