University City, MO (KSDK) - Surveillance video of a break-in at a University City sandwich shop may help police identify who the culprit was.

Investigators in both University City and nearby Olivette were called to a pair of Subway sandwich shops overnight, after a burglar or burglars broke into the businesses.

One of the crimes took place at the store in the Westover Shopping Center in the 7800 block of Olive.  The store owner says he has security video of the person responsible for breaking in, prying into a cash register, and taking off with a cash box.

A second burglary occurred at the Subway store in the 9600 block of Olive Boulevard in Olivette.  Police there say all they know for certain at this point in their investigation is a window of the business was broken, but they aren't sure anyone got inside the store.

No injuries were reported in either crime as the stores were closed.  The investigations continue.
