JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - A 19-year-old male has been charged for a burglary that happened last weekend.
Andrew Dobbs has been charged with two counts of second-degree burglary.
Police say they received a notification at 6 a.m. January 3 about a business alarm at the One Stop, located in the 2200 block of Highway 67 in Festus.
When deputies arrived they noticed the business had been accessed through a window.
Authorities say they found Dobbs in a wooded area behind the business and say when confronted he admitted to breaking into the business.
Dobbs was arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Jail.
While authorities were investigating that burglary, deputies were dispatched to a burglary at Two Car Guys, located in the 2800 block of Highway 67 in Festus.
Deputies noticed the business had been accessed through a back door and ransacked.
The owner said it appeared that nothing was stolen.
The investigation revealed the two burglaries were related.
Dobbs is held on a $7,500 bond.
