ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KSDK) -- It's that mouth-watering time of year. The Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri have announced that door-to-door cookie sales start Saturday January 12. In addition to the usual Thin Mints, the Girl Scouts are offering a brand new cookie: Mango Crèmes! The vanilla and coconut sandwich cookies with mango-flavored crème filling will be offered alongside the old favorites: Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Shortbreads, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Lemonades and Thanks-A-Lots.
Door-to-door sales will take place from Jan. 12 to Feb. 3. If you miss the girl scouts door-to-door, you can still get cookies. Additional orders will be taken between Feb. 4 and March 17. Cookie booths and cookie cupboards will open Feb. 27 through March 17.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led enterprise in the country, and enables girls to learn and practice five skills they will use throughout their lives-goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. Many successful women leaders tell us that their first entrepreneurial experience came from selling Girl Scout Cookies.
