ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - St. Louis homicide detectives are investigating the city's seventh homicide of 2013, a fatal shooting that happened just an hour after the city registered their sixth killing of the year earlier Sunday evening.
Officers received a call around 11:20 p.m. Sunday night concerning a person down in the 3600 block of Garrison Avenue. That's where police found 48-year-old Anthony Brown lying in the street atop his bicycle.
Investigators say Brown had a puncture wound to his mouth and face, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers recovered several shell casings near the body of the victim as well.
