MADISON COUNTY, Ill. (KSDK) - The victim of a Madison County house fire has been identified.
Madison County Coroner Stephen P. Nonn says preliminary results show 78-year-old Amil D. Goskie died of smoke inhalation.
The South Roxana Police and Fire departments responded to a home in the early morning hours of January 14 and found Goskie's body near the rear of the wood-framed home.
Goskie was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
