La Tonya Jones, Michael Abbott, Damon Gibbs charged for series of bank robberies

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (KSDK) - Charges have been filed against three people accused of participating in a series of bank robberies.

La Tonya Moneek Jones, 28; Michael Alan Abbott, 28; and Damon Mario Gibbs, 35, have each been charged with first-degree robbery.

Jones is accused of robbing the U.S. Bank inside the Schnucks located in the 200 block of Dorsett Village in Maryland Heights on November 5, 2012.

Police say Abbott is robbed the First Bank inside the Dierbergs located in the 8400 block of Eager Road in Brentwood on January 7, 2013.

Gibbs is accused of robbing the U.S. Bank located inside the Schnucks on Dillon Plaza in Jefferson County on October 5, 2012.

Jones and Abbott are each held on $100,000 bond.

Gibbs' bond is set at $250,000.

Police say the investigation continues and further charges could be filed.
