ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The Missouri Department of Transportation has moved work planned on Interstate 64 to from next week Friday night and Saturday.
The work will be done on the inside lanes of I-64 between Sarah and Kingshighway this weekend because temperatures are expected to be too cold to do the work when originally planned.
The left lane of I-64 will be closed in both directions at 7 p.m. Friday.
The ramp from Vandeventer to westbound I-64 will also be closed for safety reasons.
All lanes should be reopen by 6 p.m. Saturday.
This work is in preparation for the removal of the Taylor and Newstead bridges the weekend of January 25-28. Once the bridges are removed, the three through lanes in each direction between Sarah and Kingshighway will be narrowed and shifted.
These closures are part of an $18 million project.
