ST. CHARLES COUNTY (KSDK) - Around 10,000 Ameren Missouri customers lost power in St. Charles County Tuesday morning.
An Ameren spokesperson says that a piece of equipment failed at a substation in Pointe Prarie that supplies St. Charles County, causing the large outage.
Ameren restored power by 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
According to Ameren's website, the bulk of the outage occurred in the Wentzville area.
