ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A snowy surprise greeted many St. Louis-area residents Tuesday afternoon.
It created some wet pavement. And that, combined with cold temperatures, made for some slick conditions, mostly on sidewalks and parking lots.
Evening rush-hour traffic is not impacted significantly. Missouri Department of Transportation trucks could be seen out Tuesday afternoon, spreading salt.
About 2 p.m. there was a report of a vehicle turn-over on southbound I-170 near Olive. Nonetheless, traffic on area roadways appeared to be moving along at near-normal speeds.
In west St. Louis County, snow was good news for contractors like BSR Services. Along Manchester Road at I-270 crews used a leaf blower on sidewalks before they spread some salt for sure footing.
