ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - St. Louis Police have identified the home invader who was stabbed to death with his own weapon last Friday morning by a resident of the home.
On Monday, authorities told NewsChannel 5 the man was 32 year old Rondel Dunn of DeSoto, Missouri.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident which unfolded just after midnight Friday morning at a home in the 2800 block of Osceola Street.
Authorities said a detached garage, renovated as a single family home, was targeted. Officials say Dunn kicked in a side door to the building, entered the home with the knife and was met by a 38-year-old man.
A struggle ensued and the resident got control of the knife and stabbed Dunn multiple times.
Dunn was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Neither the male resident or his 23-year-old girlfriend, who was also inside the residence, were injured.
