ENID, Okla. (KSDK) - An Enid, Oklahoma company is recalling around 1,200 pounds of chicken fried chicken breasts.
Advance Pierre Foods is recalling the chicken because they may contain small pieces of metal.
The affected products are 22.75 oz. pouches of Fast Classics Chicken Fried Chicken Breasts and cases containing six 22.75 pouches of Fast Classics Chicken Fried Chicken Breasts.
The recalled products have an establishment number of P-2260Y inside the USDA mark of inspection and a best by date of Jan. 22, 2014, the lot number 1522960202, and a UPC number of 75901-33100.
The products were distributed in Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
The recall comes after the company received two complaints after a small metal hand tool fell into a grinder and was discovered by the company's metal detectors.
Advance Pierre Foods started diverting the product, but some of the product had been packaged and shipped before the issue was detected.
