St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - A man who was taking in the pleasant weather while sitting with friends outside a north St. Louis home Monday evening was shot by an unknown gunman.
Police say the 77-year-old victim was with a small group at a home in the 3600 block of Hebert Street around 8:10 p.m. when the attacker emerged from the gangway and opened fire on the men.
The victim was struck chest, stomach and leg transported to an area hospital where he's listed in serious but stable condition.
The identity of the man who fired the shots remains unknown and a motive for the attack is unclear.
Police describe the suspect as an African-American man, standing 5'7" to 5'9" with a thin build and medium complexion, wearing a black stocking cap, light colored jacket and dark pants.
