Beijing (NBC News) - A Chinese multi-millionaire is cashing in on Beijing's smog levels by selling canned air.
Chen Guangbiao made his fortune in the recycling business and is known around China for being an eccentric.
For the past two weeks, Chen and his colleagues have taken to the streets of Beijing to give away hundreds of cans of fresh air, purportedly collected from far-flung and pristine regions of China.
People can also purchase more so-called fresh air if they want it. Proceeds are being donated to charity.
Over the past couple of weeks, China's smog has been the worst the city has ever seen, forcing many to reevaluate the city's clean air policy.
