LADUE, Mo. (KSDK) - An area school is on the hunt for those responsible for bullying and putting threatening remarks on Instagram.
The social media scares have had Ladue administrators on high alert, and NewsChannel 5 has learned the school may be a step closer to finding those responsible.
There are two cases involving the school district and Instagram. In one case, photos of middle school students, a so-called ugly list, were circulated on the site, along with derogatory comments about the children.
A second Instagram account shortly afterwards included a photo of the shooter in the Connecticut school murders.
No one has been arrested in either case.
Ladue officials say they needed help from the social media site to find the culprits, and say Instagram has been cooperative and has provided them with information needed to go to the next step.
"What we're really trying to get down to is to find out the source of the person who posted. The computer, the email addresses, or whatever we can find out about the person who posted those threatening messages," said Susan Dielman with Ladue Schools.
