ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - One westbound lane on Interstate 70 at the Blanchette Missouri River Bridge was closed Thursday afternoon through evening rush hour for emergency repairs to a broken drain grate, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The lane reopened shortly before 5:30 p.m. after the repair work was complete.
Both directions of I-70 are already reduced from five lanes apiece to three lanes apiece because of the rehab project on the westbound span.
The westbound Blanchette Bridge, opened in 1958, was closed in early November 2012 and scheduled to be completed in fall 2013.
