ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The sights and sounds of Mardi Gras will be present in Soulard this weekend.
It starts Saturday with the Cardinal Glennon Family Winter Carnival at the Soulard Market. The family friendly event opens at 11:00 a.m. and includes arts and crafts, live performances and food. Tickets are five dollars and provide unlimited access to all the games and activities.
The two day "Taste of Soulard" also begins on Saturday, with chances to sample some of the best dishes that Soulard has to offer. The event runs from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Last but not least, Sunday marks the 20th year the "Beggin' Pet Parade" will march through the streets of Soulard. It is one of the biggest pet parades in the world and is free to watch. The parade begins at 1 p.m. at the corner of Menard and Allen. Tickets to participate in the parade are ten dollars.
