ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Budweiser has chosen a name for the young Clydesdale that appeared in the Super Bowl commercial.

"Hope" is the name that was picked after the company asked the public to submit name suggestions through their Twitter account.  Budweiser said it received more than 60,000 suggestions via tweets, Facebook posts, calls and direct messages.

Other popular suggestions included Buddy, Raven, Star, Spirit, Stevie and Landslide (after the Fleetwood Mac song used in the commercial).

The foal, born at 5 a.m. on January 16, already weighs 200 pounds.  She'll grow to be approximately 2,000 pounds, eat 20 to 25 pounds of whole grains, minerals and vitamins every day, as well as 50 pounds of hay per day and drink 30 gallons of water.

This wasn't the only name that was released Monday evening.

Budweiser also revealed another young Clydesdale that it will name "Stan" after the late Cardinal great Stan Musial.  Stan was born January 14 at 9 p.m.

More than 30 Clydesdales are expected to be born this year at Budweiser's breeding facility in Boonville, Missouri.

The Clydesdales celebrate the 80th anniversary of their association with Anheuser-Busch in 2013.
