St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - One person was killed, two others injured in a crash along westbound Cass Avenue early Wednesday morning.
Police responded to the scene around 1:15 a.m. and located the two vehicles involved near the intersection of Cass and 20th Street.
Investigators say the driver of the car who died, struck a second car while passing the vehicle on Cass. The impact forced to driver to lose further control of the vehicle, driving off the left side of the road and crashing through a light pole and into a fire hydrant.
That driver was pronounced dead at the scene. two people in the vehicle that was struck were taken to area hospitals with non life threatening injuries.
No names have been released at this time.
