ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A man is in custody after a police pursuit involving the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Authorities say a Highway Patrol officer was pursuing a stolen Dodge Charter on westbound Interstate 44 just after 9 a.m. Wednesday when the driver exited at the Hampton exit.
The driver of the car, reported stolen from St. Louis County, then rear-ended two vehicles at the bottom of the exit ramp before continuing northbound on Hampton.
Police say the driver then drove into the southbound lanes to avoid congestion and hit a pick-up truck head-on.
The suspect and the victims of the accidents have minor injuries.
