ST. CLAIR Co., Ill. (KSDK) - A Belleville, Illinois man has been charged after allegedly pushing and shoving his wife.
Gregory D. Brown, 49, has been charged with unlawful restraint, two counts of domestic battery, and resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
Police say they were called to a home on Creston Drive Sunday, January 3 at 7:52 p.m.
Authorities say the victim's child had called authorities and met them outside the home.
The child said her mother was inside the home with her stepfather.

Brown refused to allow police inside the home and turned off all the lights.
Authorities say they tried to call Brown and the victim, but nobody would answer the phone.
At one point the victim could be heard yelling for help and glass breaking.
Deputies forced the front door owner and attempted to take Brown into custody. He resisted, and was tasered.
Authorities say the victim told them she got into an argument with Brown about texting. She said he made her sit in a chair and not stand up. When she tried to stand up anyway, she says he shoved her back down.
She said she tried to get a drink in the kitchen and was shoved to the floor and then into a table and chairs.
According to the victim, when deputies arrives Brown told her to not let them in and get rid of them.
