ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A man shot and killed by police Thursday evening has been identified.
Jason Noroian, 32, of Des Peres, was shot and killed after police say he attempted to grab an officer's weapon.
Police were called to Lenor K. Sullivan and Biddle around 6:10 p.m. after receiving a call about suspicious vehicles possibly involved in a drug transaction.
The suspected vehicles were located, and police conducted a traffic stop.
Officers determined Noroian had an active warrant, and as he was placed under arrest police say he struggled to grab an officer's weapon.
The struggle continued, and the officer shot Noroian one time in the torso because he feared for his safety.
Noroian was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A loaded .40 caliber handgun was found on Noroian.
A 32-year-old female was in the second vehicle and arrested for drug possession without incident.
