(CNN) - It looks like many people in New Jersey like the job Governor Chris Christie is doing.
A new Rutgers-Eagleton Poll shows his approval rating is at 73 percent, and the Republican isn't just popular among member of his own party.
The majority of independents and Democrats surveyed also said they approved of the job he is doing.
Christie's approval and favorability ratings since his handling of Superstorm Sandy in late October have been the stuff every politician dreams of.
Still, the poll found voters were split on his handling of the economy, and according to the poll, that's the issue most voters are most concerned about right now.
