ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Charges have been filed against a St. Louis man for the kidnapping and rape of a 16-year-old girl.
Timothy Gilbert, 18, has been charged with kidnapping, forcible rape, attempted forcible sodomy, sexual abuse, first-degree burglary, two counts of stealing under $500, and five counts of armed criminal action.
Court documents accuse Gilbert of entering a home in the 3900 block of Delor Street in the overnight hours of December 14 to December 15.
Authorities say he woke a 16-year-old girl and forced her to leave her home through the back door while holding a knife to her neck.
Gilbert is accused of then pulling off her pants and spitting on her before raping and sexually abuse her.
Authorities say Gilbert stole clothing, a purse, and a cell phone from the home.
Gilbert's DNA was found on the victim's bra strap.
