ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A six-month-old, that underwent her seventh surgery just over a week ago, was released from St. Louis Children's Hospital Friday evening.
Aliyah Wilson was born with a congenital disorder that exposes the brain.
The condition usually has a 100 percent mortality rate, but through surgery and a miracle of biology, Aliyah was able to grow a skull for herself.
The operation that was performed last Wednesday removed part of the brain that had grown over her nose.
Now she is returning home and doing great.
