Michael Ruether seriously hurt after being thrown from motorcycle

Enoch Knob, MO (KSDK) - A Franklin County man is hospitalized after he was thrown from his Harley Davidson Sunday evening west of Washington.

Missouri Highway Patrol troopers say around 6:10 p.m. yesterday, 23 year old Michael Ruether of Union was southbound on Boeuf Creek Road about a half mile south of Enochs Knob when he failed to negotiate a curve.

Ruether tired to rgain control of the motorcycle, but drove off the road, flipping the bike and throwing Ruether to the ground.

The victim was transported by a helicopter ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
