WUJIAQU, China (CNN) - Heavy fog shrouded the city of Wujiaqu in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Monday, affecting local traffic.
The visibility was reduced to less than 100 meters. The buildings, trees, roads and streets were all enveloped by the fog.
The vehicles were forced to move slowly on the roads with the fog-proof lights on.
According to the local meteorological department, the fog was formed when snow began to melt in the rising temperature and became water vapors.
The temperature in the city has risen to minus two degrees Celsius from minus 20 degrees Celsius during the coldest time.
