COLUMBIA, Mo. (KSDK) - The University of Missouri will close in its entirety Tuesday, February 26 due to weather.
All classes, exams, and events are canceled, and only employees that are considered critical are required to be on campus.
University officials made the decision to close after city and state advisories indicated the potential for hazardous weather conditions.
Gary Ward, associate vice chancellor of campus facilities, has requested that all students and staff refrain from travel so that crews can clear the university's roads and sidewalks as soon as possible.
Only the university student center and University of Missouri hospitals will remain open.
An announcement regarding campus closure for Wednesday will be made on Tuesday.
