ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Girl Scouts in the St. Louis area will now accept credit cards at cookie booths.
For the first time ever, Girl Scouts will use mobile phones connected to Square to ring up sales. Debit cards, credit cards, emailed receipts, and even refunds will be made possible.
The program is equipped with AT&T equipment, and will be used at 20 cookie booths across St. Louis this weekend.
Technology is also allowing Girl Scouts to accept online cookie orders, which will supply an emailed receipt.
