Glencoe, Missouri man in custody after police standoff

RICHLAND, Mo. (KSDK) - A Glencoe, Missouri, man is in custody after a standoff with sheriff deputies.

Around 3:34 Sunday morning a male suspect was taken into custody after threatening the employees of the Oasis Truck Plaza.

Pulaski County Sherriff's Department received a phone call from the truck plaza about a suspect who had entered the business trying to sell firearm ammunition and when denied, became violent and started making threatening statements to employees saying he would shoot them.

The man was believed to have fire arms on him and after the suspect exited the building the employees secured themselves inside.

When the sheriff deputies arrived they found the suspect in his vehicle armed with numerous firearms. After a brief standoff, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Pulaski County jail, where he will be charged with numerous criminal offenses.

The suspect is a 55 year old man from Glencoe, Missouri. His identity will be released upon being formally charged.
