ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - This weekend we'll spring forward. Sunday at 2 a.m. we'll advance our clocks one hour for daylight saving time.
Many of us may welcome longer days, more sunlight, and this sign that spring is right around the corner, but others hate the thought of losing one hour of sleep, even if it's only for one day.
Sleep specialists say you can ease the transition by preparing your body for the sudden change.
"In the next three or four days, if you can try to go to sleep earlier , by small increments, 15 to 20 minutes, that would be very helpful," said sleep specialist Dr. Eliot Friedman.
Also, on Saturday, it's suggested you get some exercise around midday.
And on Sunday, don't sleep in! Get up at your normal time, even if you didn't' get a good night's sleep.
