ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - One lane on westbound Interstate 255 at the Jefferson Barracks Bridge has been closed for urgent repairs.

Kara Price, a spokesperson for the Missouri Department of Transportation, says an expansion joint needs to be repaired to prevent further damage.

Drivers will experience delays and should consider alternate routes.

The work is expected to be finished around 12 a.m.

All lanes are expected to be open for Friday morning's rush.
