St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - St. Louis Police have been busy overnight investigating more than a dozen vehicle break-in cases in the midtown and downtown area of the city.
The crimes took place shortly after midnight according to police who first responded to a location at 4th and Pine, then moments later, a second call for car cloutings at 17th and Chestnut and another on 2nd Street on Lacledes Landing.
Additional officers were called to investigate a half dozen vehicles that were broken into just after 1:00 a.m. in the 3100 block of Olive and on nearby Locust near Compton.
Investigators located some property they believe was taken in the vehicle break-in's lying in the middle of the 3400 block of Locust a short time later.
Among the items recovered were several purses, clothes, and a pair of shoes.
