ST LOUIS (KSDK) - One man was killed and another injured in two violent incidents on Laclede's Landing, so some are asking if more police are needed in the entertainment district.
A deputy chief told reporters Sunday, there are plenty of cameras on the Landing and many of the bars hire their own officers.
On Saturday morning, a man was shot in his car. He is expected to survive.
Early Sunday morning, a 28-year-old man from Bond County, Illinois was stabbed in the neck outside a bar.
Police were asked if hot spot policing is needed here, which would include more officers.
The deputy chief said it's something they will look at, but at this time, he doesn't believe that's needed.
He said you have to look at the types of crimes that are happening.
Lumiere, which is located in the area, is spending $500,000 over the next five years for extra patrols.
